With less than five years remaining to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), progress in the UNECE region remains uneven. While implementation is lagging in several key areas and continues to be affected by multiple crises, the UNECE 2026 SDG progress report also points to encouraging signs of resilience, with the bulk of targets still moving forward and reflecting substantial development gains.
